Wobbly jelly sculpture; handmade & SILICONE cast for artist rebecca moss

Recently we assisted artist Rebecca Moss in making this over sized wobbly jelly sculpture, for her ghost train art exhibition ‘Scream Machines’ at Museum Tinguely, Switzerland.

This jelly was first made by hand from clay, which we then took a silicone mould from, securing the negative in a fibre glass jacket shell. We then created a plug for the inside of the jelly, in order to create a cavity to make it extra wobbly.

To make the jelly material we used ecoflex near clear, a soft and stretchy silicone that we pigmented with a pink dye and put through the degasser to avoid any bubbles in the final outcome.
